Here is my VSL's Pianos Velocity map that reference from Pianoteq 7
why reference from Pianoteq 7?
because I have played quite a lot piano vst and find out that every piano vst have they own touching.
But not for Pianoteq [Physical Modelling Synthesis Plugin] not [Sampled Plugin]
Pianoteq is my BEST about RESPONSE
But I prefer love VSL about SOUND.
So I pull response from Pianoteq to VSL.
"Here is my method."
set E3 [because it's almost a middle note of 88 keys] on Max velocity to calculate sound volume [monitored by Fabfilter L2] compare with Pianoteq 7 which is I miking as close as VSL's Pianos were on "close" mic [I use Ribbon sf24] and disable Repetation Smear for easier look.
using 15 possibillities Velocity [+8 from 0] and set those point by reference from Pianoteq 7.
Edited with Notepad
Hope you love it.
