I'm new to the forum and the Synchron Steinway D-274. Someone in the thread said, "Just place the vsynpreset file inside Documents/VSL/Vienna Synchron Pianos/Presets." Is that all there is to it, or is there something else that needs to be done? I appreciate any help you might offer. Looking forward to getting to know this instrument.

Please note that Overture4 preset is also for VSL Synchron Concert D-274 not the VSL Yamaha CFX. You may wish to correct it in your post.

Please save at least ONE custom preset, so that the necessary file structure is established.

".Logicx" preset :

Inside .zip : scripts, and presets for each Logic Track, are available, if ".logicx" preset doesn't work

(You can use the script in the same Way in Logic for other VSL Pianos)

Fazioli presets. On special request by Mike. I'm not sure about this library. The basic sound is beautiful. But as mentioned here before there's absolutely no Punch. The Oemph is not there. I've been tinkering with the settings as Mike has put it. But I'm by no means an expert. I tried to find and release the beast. But doubt if its there at all. Never the less I included two preset patches. See if it helps.

3.I load the Velocity Preset on CFX and play. WOW it more response But Steinway's response feel still so hard.

4.I use MIDISHAPESHIFTER to curve the True Linear by reference from CFX.

5.I change The X to make it curve like SOLUTION 4.

 

at first try, I don't even trust that I made it so I leave from it for a moment to rest a bit,eat some snacks and play it again.the resource still unbelievable!!.

The last layers taken by the VSL robot 50 to 60, are unreal for me. (no pianist finger behaviour)
