  • I totally understand - I just wanted to know if they got the files as I didn't get confirmation.  I know you guys are busy and these programming isses do take time to solve, for sure.  The reponse has been super quick in every communication, and I thank you all for that.

    Hi Paul!

Unfortunately, this version has the same bug for me, it crashes immediately as MIDI notes are sent, either via keyboard or a pre-existing track.  Just FYI 😊  - I have been using the Ensemble for now and Syncrhon works great within it.  Looking forward to PRO 7!  😊

    Best wishes,

    GP

  • Synchron 1.1.1621 still crashes on MIDI event input.  :(  Works fine within Ensemble though :)

  • Hi there,

I encounter the same issue as GP1:

Synchron Player 1.1.1621 crashes (in) Cubase Pro 10.0.20 performed by WIN 10.0.17134 all the time, as soon as any midi note is triggered for the synchron player (the smart orchestra in particular). I do not have any keyboard connected. But this is for working with the synchron player not necessary as far as I know, is it?

In addition I've noticed that in some rare cases for some strange reasons the synchron player doesn't crash and works fine after quite a while (ca. 10 minutes?) if left alone after initial loading for quite some time.

I'd really appriciate a soon fix of this bug, because I'm considering to get the Special Edition Crossgrades. But if the synchron player doesn't work properly this Crossgrade would be worthless.

Thank you very much! You do a fantastic job, so I'm really confident that you will find  a solution to our problem.

    Best regards

  • Same exact behavior on my system win 8.1 64 with the latest Cubase 10.0.20

  • The same issue happens on Mac too, Cubase Pro 10.0.30 with latest Synchron Player, Mac OS Sierra. Cubase quit unexpectedly with VST3 version of Syn player.

  • Hey,

Thanks for your patience - did anything change for you with the latest version of Synchron Player (1.1.1657)?

If not, please send a crashdump file and/or Minidumpfiles (WIN) to:
    support@vsl.co.at

With these additional informations our developers can look into the issue here again!

To find more out about Minidumpfiles I will attach a link:

  • Ditto here. Cubasis 10.0.20. I am using the demo version but this has crashed my pc more than several times. The only thing that worked was removing the vsl ensemble pro 7 because everything crashes at the opening mixer. As soon as that was removed no problems. Also the other problem is check the size of your .cpr file. Mine ballooned to 19 mb. If you can get access back to your file may I suggest that you freeze your tracks that way the audio is unloaded and saved a replayable audio file so less procession and you get audio saved to a file in audio file and a smaller .cpr file. I am using IK Philharmonik 2 which has been causing some problems on my system so that could be part of the problem with me. At least with Philharmonik you can use eco or lite versions. I did try to create a dump file and you guessed it crashed. Just adding my two pennies worth. Ta David

  • Hi all,

I am facing the same problem. Cubase Pro 10.0.40 crashes immediately as soon as I play a note on Synchron Player (Windows, VST2 or VST3, build 1.1.1709, running BBO). It happens on my laptop as well as on the PC. Both with WIn7 Pro.

Using BBO with standalone Synchron Player works perfectly (and sounds just great!).

Is there any solution? Thanks for any hint!

    Best regards

  • and it is still happening to me, with the latest version of Syncrhon, and Cubase as of 10/14/19

For now, I am forced to use Synchron withing Ensemble player.

  • Hi,

Thanks for reporting. It would be great to get the crash dump or mini dump files, as requested by Johannes Kirsch...

Quick note: Please add the actual version numbers you are using. It is very common that you THINK you have the latest versions installed, when actually you don't. We know from experience :-)

  • Hello ! Got the same problem under Mac OS. Smart Orchestra in Synchron Player, latest version. Stand alone ok, but when in DAW, Cubase 10.5 it crashes when playing the master keyboard. Mac Book Pro i7, 16GB Ram SSD 2017.

  • Hi Superduke,

Did you send your crash report to support@vsl.co.at already?

    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Hy Paul ! We had a chat yesterday afternoon. The guy with the small 13 Mac Book Pro... :-) The Problem was not OSX, to solve the problem i just increased the sample Rate of the UAD Apollo to 2048 in Audio Preferences under Cubase. Now the Synchron Player works fine under Cubase 10.5. No Problems ! Thank You !! Greetings Mario

  • Hi Mario,

    Great. thanks for the Update.

2048 is a pretty high buffer, but you could work with less mics in the writing process and activate more mics on mix-down. That's one of the reasons why we included the Room-Mix Channel.
