  • I could not get my activation code for my Vienna instruments special edition.

    Hi I bought Vienna Instruments 2days ago. I tried to register my at VIenna Instruments Registration Area. But it did not work at all. The activation code was not issued. The error code"(16)An unknown problem retrieving the activation code ocurred" was shown on screen. Before that, I have already registered myself as an user, and my Vienna Key. I have no idea for this error. I need someone's help. My machine configs are: Mac book MacOS10.4.10 CPU core2duo 2.16GHz Host apprication: Logic Pro7.2 Yoshi

    Could you also include the answers to these questions:

    Did you try the registration once again? Same error?

  • Thank you Paul. Yes. I sent an email to the tech support of VSL. They did not respond yet though. Thank you very much. Several times I tried to register my VSE but I could not get through yet. Same error message is shown. I hope tech support or somebody here can help me out of this. Yoshi

    the reason for this behaviour is that we ran out of licenses for the Special Edition.

    This is temporary, the new licenses are already on its way. 

    Meanwhile, you can install and operate the Vienna Instruments with the Demo Mode on your ViennaKey [:)]

    Please try to register again tomorrow.

    same with me : After entering my 2 Serials, the system gave me a Message back : " 16) An unknown problem retrieving the activation code ocurred " . Solution ?

  • the activation code should have been presented to you after registration too,

    however the confirmation mail was rejectd by hotmail and it is highly probable you mistyped your email ... let us know

  • Same problem here. When I enter the serial number, I get the "16" error message. The e-mail address I used to register is a hotmail.de address. Any help much appreciated.

    or do i have to order these licences?

    anyway i wanna get my full vsl;)

    i registered with a @hotmail.de, too.

    is that the reason?

    unfortunately we have problems issuing activation codes currently for the special edition standard library

    either you have a ViennaKey with initial 180 demo mode #1 starts so you can install and run the library for the moment or please email activate@vsl.co.at for receiving such a demo license.

    the problem should be fixed by thursday and we apologize for the inconvenience

  • Same for me. Couldnt get my activation code and, as i'm using a syncrosoft usb key i already had before buying Special Edition, i didnt get a Vienna Key - and therefore can't run the demo mode... :-(


  • Message tells me I have the wrong serial number - I can't run Logic until this is fixed as I need the upgrade, so pre-registration starts are useless for me.

    the message *wrong serial number* might be rather related to a misread or mistyped character ... please email the number to support to check in detail.

    however i seem to not understand the *can't run logic*, but have copied the latest version of VI to your personal files
