There are plugins that are only availible for one platform so far, which doesn't mean to rule one out, because there are also people who have multi-platform setups with sequencer on Mac and additional Giga boxes (PCs that run GigaStudio) connected to them.

There are translators like ChickenSys, however with the VSL samples the safest way that is also saving you literally days of work is to get a sidelicense for the disered library. It also ensures that every feature possible with the samples and the sampler is used and works.
