What it will do for people is help them write more music it's as simple as that and I'm sure for those who have felt limited by the ram ceiling, it will seem very liberating, especially for those with plenty of cpu power to not have to limit their use of articulations and instruments because of ram or have to freeze / optimise all the time, although I'm sure even with 16gigs of ram it would pay to optimise. Come to think of it, considering I can load at least 4 times as many articulations in a given piece with optimisation than without, and since it seems to be an exponential type of gain, crudely speaking, 16 gigs of ram with optimised instances should yeild an equivalent of 80 odd Gb of what used to be understood EXS Pro edition samples / instance.... so even from a few years ago, you could fairly say we've gone from being able to load 2.7 Gb of VSL samples, to *an equivalent of* - to be conservative, 32 - 64 - to even 80Gb, all at 24bit. Pretty cool!
