OK....forum...a confirmation and a question please: When I got the solo string instruments I was told that the performance tool was not yet compatible with the intelmacpro laptops (I'm running Vienna through a very fast intelmacpro with 2 megs of ram and the samples stored on a 7200rpm external hard drive). I assume "not yet compatible" is the reason that, while it still comes up in the EXS24 in LogicPro 7.2, it sometimes drops out and it makes the space designer reverb go nutty on final releases. Is this what others have experienced as the compatibilty issue?
I was also told (by US distributor Ilio) that the performance detection componant would in fact work fine on the intel macs. I could get performance detection, just not a compatible performance tool. SO what does this mean, practically, in terms of what and how I can load these samples within the LogicPro EXS24? can I only load a single patch on a single instrument until VSL releases a compatible version for the performance tool? Is loading matrices or presets what's making the space designer crazy? It's def not ram as the space designer is cpu intensive but not related much to
RAM.
Any and all advice or thoughts GREATLY appreciated.
