@Andreas8420, and company: this is an enduring cringe. I cannot start Logic 10.8.1 playback from VE Pro. The remote space bar doesn't work.
In the first link above, you said "it's because Apple is forcing our plug-ins to run out-of-process since Logic 10.7.6."
Here, I can start playback on Logic 10.7.9 (which is after your quoted 10.7.6).
But it does not work in the current 10.8.1.
In the second link above, there's a discussion about System Preferences / Security & Privacy / Accessibility / Privacy / Allow the app (the DAW) to control your computer. That works for 10.7.9 (though it reports as 10.8.1). My point is, I've explored all of that repeatedly.
I know this issue exists in the chasm between VSL (David) and Apple (Goliath). But please help grant some clarity here:
1: Is this still the case? Is it possible that the entirety of your user base can't control Logic's transport from VE Pro Server?
2: If it is still the case, is any effort being made to out-think Apple and restore remote transport control in Logic?
3: To the forum: Is anyone aware of a third-party fix?
4: Also to the forum: does anyone have this working in their Mac / VE Pro setup for Logic 10.8.1? (I'm still on Ventura / Intel, if that matters.)
