I've noticed that every time I buy a new VSL product based on Synchron Player, there is suddenly a new "update" for Synchron Player and Vienna Ensemble (non-Pro version), but they are always the same versions of Synchron Player and Vienna Ensemble I already had, and it even says they are size zero in terms of the size of the update. This happens each time I buy something new and so these two appear with the new product. For instance I just tried "buying" the free Celestial Strings - just before Vienna Assistant showed no updates needed, and immediately after buying, I see not only that I have to install Celestial Strings, but also that I have these updates for Synchron Player and Vienna Ensemble, same versions I already had, size zero.
I'm wondering why this is, and what happens if I don't install these updates?
