I am almost certain that MS was not used by VSL. I use it very occasionally when I am not sure exactly how things are gonna turn out at a live recording and may want to play with the stereo width later on.

If you can afford it also - I would recommend getting a Logic Control desk.
For Ram I use Crucial.com and have never had any trouble with the ram or them - very efficient company.

i have logic control but what for the reverb using please? [I]
Reverb for a Mac- the only one that's really worth considering in terms of total quality in my view is Altiverb 5.
This is ideal for orchestral placement and sheer depth. Fantastic piece of kit - and has been covered here quite a few times. The Logic Control desk as you will know, makes it easy to apply amounts of reverb required. You will also have the Space Designer reverb included with Logic - this is good, but nowhere near Altiverb 5.

ok, thank a lot for the link of crucial.com
have a nice continue

Before you spend more money on something you may already own....I am looking into a new way of using Space Designer involving sending from individual instruments on PREFADE aux sends rather than post. This means setting up a bus or aux object with Space Designer operating with no direct signal and full reverb. Thus the balance of dry to wet will depend on each individual instruments fader settings and aux send settings. The room has to be absolutely right, but audition plenty of them and there are some peaches. Try for example Magic voices in Vocal Rooms>Long. The effect of having purely wet reverb sends thanks to the pre fade and not post fade send seems to be that you are not simply adding reverb, but placing the sound back into the reverb. my initial experiments are startling good. BUT THE ROOM HAS TO BE RIGHT!
By all means buy altiverb, but, personally, having recently slated Space Designer, I am now beginning to love it, AND IT IS INCLUDED WITH LOGIC!

Yeah I'm with rawmusic there. I find that Space Designer i a very fine reverb unit, with all the bell and whistles that go with. The only problem I find with SD i that I don't yet know how to use it to it's fullest.
It has a wealth of convulsions already in it, and you can add your own. I have certainly had none of the mono/stereo problems that people have been concerned of in the past. Brilliant unit, and as rawmusic pointed out .. it comes with ;D Even better.
Though Sculpture is also turning my head reecently. Brilliant littlet hing. I used to really hate synth generators ... more on the basis that all they could do was make bass tones (Yawn ywan, boring). But Sculpture does loads of cool things, and has again a vast preset library.
If only they could make the midi editing exactly the same as in cubase. My only gripe with logic now is that you can't highlight several parts and then click on them to reveal only their midi.
Well there you go.
