  • Staccato Glitch in Matrix

    After 5 hours I'm stumped.

I have Sibelius Ultimate 2020.1, with three VE instances. For all instruments, whenever the staccato articulation is played, Vienna jumps to a matrix cell that is not staccato, on the second matrix row if there is more than one row. There is no issue with any other articulation.

I will attach screenshots (3 pages). What I've observed when staccato is played (should be cell A1):

    • The X matrix will not play the C1 Keyswitch (it picks a different one)
    • The Y matrix CC1 will jump to 64. It does not do this for any other articulation in the first row.

I don't have any manual midi text in the score.

    I have downloaded/installed/updated:

    • Vienna Instruments and Vienna Ensemble 6.0.18443
    • The VSL SoundSet Installer
    • Reimported House Style and rescanned dll/plugins folder
    • Built an VE instance from scratch and tested a single instrument
    • Tried setting all mixer channels in Sibelius to auto; didn't work so reverted back
    • I disconnected my midi keyboard controllers before all of this

None of this yielded any change in behaviour.

Please help me resolve, as I have a deadline approaching...

    Thank you so much.

    Eric

  • Hello Eric!

I have seen on your screenshots that you have loaded the "VE Special Edition PLUS" sound set, but you don't have any Special Edition PLUS volumes registered. Please use the sound set "VE Special Edition" and the VI presets in the folder Sibelius/Special Edition 6.0/SE Vol. 1 and SE Vol. 2.

    Best regards,
    Andi
