  • [SOLVED] How do I turn off this stupid ChatBot "Arnold" on every single page?

Pretty annoying when I'm going through the VSL Academy and this stupid thing keeps popping up on the lower right hand of the window.

I get that VSL wants a live chat, but maybe put it in the top right next to the 'basket' icon, not in plain view of your webpage taking up 10% of the viewable window, overlapping text. ðŸ˜•

  • Hi Tyler,

Sorry to hear that you find the chat window annoying... which resolution are you using on your screen?

We just removed the live chat window from the academy.

    Enjoy!

    Best,
    Paul

  • you can also reduce the dialog to the size of the avatar - the chat window does remember your choice during browsing the site.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Hi,

    That's an even better solution!

ChatBot is back on in the Academy :)

This doesn't work for me. I do click the 'X' and if I navigate to a new instrument or page, it pops back up again full size.

Here's a video I made showing my issue:

  • hi Tyler, i'm sorry to hear about that - especially because i've not been able to reproduce the issue (of non-remembering the closed dialog) using Chrome, FireFox, Edge.
may i ask you which browser shows this behaviour or if you have any special cookie-blockers or browser toolbars installed?

ps: very odd - safari 9.1.3 (i know, a little bit outdated) does not show the livechat at all ...

  • Chrome.

I do indeed have tracker and cookie blockers. I'll try adjusting the permissions for vsl.co.at and see if it works.

EDIT: Fixed! Enabling cookies on the site allowed Arnold to remain his icon size. Thank you!
