Hi,
1) Correct.
2) Our Synchron Series have an improved balance (from a different standpoint, and all positioned @Synchron Stage).
Best,
Paul

Does it mean that in the VI library the articulations are balanced, too?
I'm asking, because the older string libraries aren't balanced. And as Dimension Strings is the newest of them, maybe you decided to adjust the levels.
Hi Paul,
concerning the instrument sections and the natural volume feature, that's true, I like this function and use it regularly.
But primarily I meant the articulations inside one instrument section (legato, staccato etc.). Are these articulations balanced in the VI Dimension Strings after the update?
It's worth noting that the natural volume feature of MIRpro volume balances the instruments as well. Thanks for that explanation, that is good to know.
well, in the case of MirPro, you still have the placement on stage effecting the volume of things too, so its still not crystal clear. With MirX I guess the placement on stage is hardwired to a certain location for each instrument and might reasonably expect that the natural volume at the fixed distance would be predictable and realistic for each instrument of the orchestra. But with MirPro, its still up to the user to locate the instrument on stage, which can effect the volume balancing...
Derp, I got mirx and mirpro mixed up. Yes, you are correct. I'm finding natural volume in mirpro to be a very valuable learning tool.well, in the case of MirPro, you still have the placement on stage effecting the volume of things too, so its still not crystal clear. All articulations within VI instruments are volume balanced.
All articulations within VI instruments are volume balanced.
Really? Didn't know that. I thought volume balancing has been introduced with the Synchron Series.
Thanks!

Just to avoid confusion: the isntruments of the VI series are not volume balanced to each other, but within each instrument, the articulations of the instrument is balanced. This is my experience with all the libraries I used so far.
Hi
I've installed the last update for Dimension Strings I and when I load the matrix "02P VC-All-RE-L2-Art-Combi", it seems that for some patches like Legato, Portamento or Sustain, all the players are panned at the center. For other patches like Staccato or Detache, they are correctly panned. Has anyone noticed that too or am I missing something ? It doesn't do that with the update for DS II.
Best,
David
