Hi all,
I've done a piano prelude based on an orchestral one I did a while back, I've used Ivory PIano, and for the accompaniment, I've used all VSL and the MirX reverb software that goes with VI PRo player.
I'm just wanting some feedback re the accompaniment levels in comparison to the solo etc as I'm using headphones, and I don't have monitors. If anyone has the chance to give me some feedback when they have time, that would be great. It's pretty short. Only goes for about 2 minutes and 1 second.
I have not used anything for the instruments other than the MirX reverb, plus the orchestral loudness levels and also I have used the Vienna Suite Limiter on the audio output in Cubase, and that is all. I'm wondering if I should add other Vienna Suite effects such as the compressor, multiband etc, or if it is ok by itself.
The other question is, I've used the equalisation presets that come with MirX. Would adding one of the presets that come with the Main Vienna Suite equaliser intefere with the equalisation already on the presets? I'm quite happy with things how they are but with not having proper monitors, and only a set of headphones, I'm not really sure about the overall effect and whether these other main equalisation presets will not be good to use in conjunction with the VSuite main equalisation presets available. Anyone any thoughts on this?
