I'd expect something great that VSL can do in the future with Dimension Brass. I'd like Mutes choices for this and more articulations for it. Dimension Brass is already good on what it does. It is great to know that Dimension strings will have Con sordino library, but I'd love to see Dimension Brass with Mutes. Multiphonics are indeed something that I would like to see in the future.

For Woodwinds, I'd expect a Bass Oboe for a next library, but I don't know. Heckelphone is quite sufficient indeed... Furthermore, I'd like to see a 2nd Clarinet and 2 more Clarinets but in A. For Brass, more mute choices. A reminder that this is just a wishlist.

Vienna Imperial Half-Pedal is a "must" that needs to be there. Not trying to be arrogant or meanie face... [:)] A good piano sound needs half-pedaling for realistic purposes and we all know that.

I'd like to see extra articulations in the Vienna Choir such as humming (mmm),  and  at some point I would really like VSL to address the lack of a second violin section,  we really shouldn't be having to fake a second violin section.

Often,  the only sounds I use that are not VSL is drums.  I know we have Jazz Drums,  but it would be perfect if VSL had a full drum kit - though drums probably would need an exclusive player (like Vienna Imperial has for the piano).

oh,   and something the OP suggested -   I would +1  the accordion -  that's quite Austrian isn't it?

One of the most neglected areas of recent times in the VSL universe is percussion.

It would be good to have some more dynamic Tam hits - none of the current selection are particularly forte. But the most needed missing articulations in percussion are pfps (swells). At the moment with timps for example you can either  do a volume crossfade - doesn't work too well - or follow a crescendo with a dim (with slow attack) but it's a lot of extra work to create a frequently required articulation.

So extended percussion please! particularly revisiting the timps, orchestral bass drums, cymbals, tam tams and gongs.

The plucked instruments seem kind of incomplete without a good nylon guitar sampled.

I offered my stellar human beat box skills to the VSL team at least a year ago...  I'm still waiting for that phone call guys.  Also, I do this thing with my lips and mouth that sound exactly like a zither... send me a PM.

I believe VSL's Concert Guitar http://www.vsl.co.at/en/211/496/721/534/728/422.htm has nylon strings.

I can agree with these wishes, but would like to add: noy just an accordion. This is the past. Nowadays, the modern accordion is a concertible or a bayan. There are two discants: the normal right hand discant and the left hand discant, which can be converted to a normal accordion bas system and vice versa. All modern composers use that instrument (of course, since there are so many more possibilities).

I'd like to see the Vienna version of the new 'aleatoric' libraries that are appearing. I don't own the others (Strezov and 8DIO if it's not out of order to mention them), but I already know that, when I do, I'm going to be wanting a version that I can make sit with my Vienna stuff by simply clicking the MIRx button. Although the current offerings may be very extensive there's no straight orchestral set that corresponds to them, so it's not possible to mix up 'bread and butter' writing with Psycho moments in the same piece.

I want everything that Ligeti, Lachenmann and Penderecki ever dreamed of - sul ponticello scrubbing, sul tasto scrubbing, harmonic glissandi, controllable multiphonics, trombones doing motorbike impressions, etc, etc.
