Hello Gukas,
The Soprano Choir was our first recorded choir and is a separate collection, also different in sound and articulations.
The Vienna Choir was recorded afterwards.
Best,
Paul

Hi Andy,
I´m not sure about the singers, but this choir definitely sounds different.
Personally, for me, it´s a very nice addition. Maybe other users want to chime in here as well. It´s of course also a matter of taste.
Best,
Paul
Apparently some of the singers are the same, but they're essentially two different groups sampled a few years apart. IMO the old Soprano Choir has a fuller sound (which I prefer), but the sopranos in Vienna Choir perform more articulations.

Dear All,
Is Soprano Choir a part of Vienna Choir or they are a different collections? A Soprano is only Standard whereas Vienna Choir -- Standard and Extended.
Hi Gukas
It's a long time ago since I produced these examples... but the examples are still in the net...

Hi, Beat,
and thank's for an axsamples. But….
A choir is the most difficult and vulnerable group to acomplish the task. I'm progressing with String Orchestra, Solo Strings, Percussion and some Brass instruments but I'v never get rich sound of a Choir.
How to get a rich Tenor sound if in a higher range man's voice sounds like a women's?
How to get a rich low Bass Choir sound if as you go down the voice become weaker and weaker?( No anything of the kind in a Tube collection or low strings.)
Hi Gukas
The answer is not the one you would like to get, I'm sure:
If you need a Russian Basso Profundo Register the Vienna Choir is the wrong library I suppose. The same facts for high Tenors.
Could be that the MARS Library would be the better solution. http://www.bestservice.de/en/mars.html
(Sorry for this link here in the VSL-Forum).
But I must say I don't know those library and the demos are showing more a cinematic orchestra than the male choir...

Addition:
How to get a rich low Bass Choir sound... Try to play the voice in a well and full sounding range and then use an audio pitch transposer to transpose it down in the range you use.
In the mean time don't use the "formant-option" (or less as the transposition) so you eventually will get a more dark Profundo sound...
Hi Beat
Thank's for MARS. I'v lisened and came to conclujion that I like Vienna Choir more then before. MARS is too much ready and focused to a spesial direction and task.
