  • VEP slow connection times

    its talking about 5+ mins for my mac daw logic to connect to my pc slave with 19 (x16 channels each)  connections. going through gigabite ethernet hub.  (samples already loaded. takes longer to connectt than to load the samples :-/  ) 
    is this normal? 
    logic 9.1.7 
    VEP 5.0.107 (may 14 2012)
    the pc has windows 7 64 pro. 
    intel i7 930 @ 2.80ghz 
    24gb ram

  • using fixed Ethernet adresses normaly fixes the problem

    set your slave using DHCP, note down all the values

    then set it with Fixed Ethernet and fill the fields with the value you just add


  • I've used Logic as my DAW and connected to a PC slave using gigabit ethernet. Generally, I find it slow, so my guess is, this is normal. 19 →Instances← of 16 channels each... 5 + minutes may not be bad at all. But Cyril is probably right.
