    Hi There,

    this question is especially for the Logic 9 Users. If anyone out there would use my Song please and tell me if it pushes Processor 7 to the max.

    My Problem:
    Start my Song, it loads 18 VSL Special Editon Instruments.
    Hit a Single NOTE ON/OFF: It drains Processor 7 (about 50%)
    and it STAYS there. Even in absolute silence.

    Hit another Note: More Processor power is used, ... and so on.

    I hit more and more Notes. (about 5) and it only crackles. That's it. Processor 7 calculates a lot for nuthin.

    Doesn't matter what Audiointerface I use. (internal or Saffire)

    Setup:
    VSL 32 or 64 Instruments
    MacPro
    Logic 8
    10.6.2

    All updates installed.
    (nearly) Clean System
    Fresh installed Mac Pro 10.6. no update vom 10.5
    Logic
    Final Cut Studio
    Adobe CS3
    Perian, Logitech Mouse Driver, Ozone M-Audio Driver (64Bit Version)

    Heya Florian,

    I had some CPU problem befor and it was due to Vienna enssemble. After using only VI directly in logic i was able to use more instruments w/out having CPU using to much and the 8 cores was more used together than 1 getting overload when other doing not much.

    You should make a try if its better or no.

    I only use the "Logic Internal" VIs. But I was just given the hint to try the Vienna ensemble. So the other way round.

    Well we just tried it on a Mac Book Pro and it ran fine. It seems to be my machine?

    VE is said to be less greedy than VI

    check that the system extension Apple Qmaster is not on

    Thank you so much for your Ideas and Help. The Core-Power after first play is on Max with 64samples-buffer-size and changes between core numb 7 and 8, when I choose bigger buffers up to 512 samples. So. Buffer-size leads to Core-Processing-Power even if stopped and no Note Input happens in relation to amount of VI. This is weird. Up to 8 Tracks i can work with 64samples buffer, above that amount of VI-Tracks I have to raise the buffer sample size. Thanks Solved!

    What is default for qmaster i mean is normally on or off?. and why is problem ?
