    i don't quite get this:

    when we use bidule the midi ports turn up in logic. why does this not work here? same thing with rewire, we can have bidule rewire for midi and have loads of ports and therefore channels....

    so presumably what we need to be able to do is run VST plugs in logic. if we could run the plugs as VST would we then have the midi ports?

    The next update will include this functionality.

    To continue this discussion with myself, I have also found a way to get around the timing issues. Looks like this is a nice solution after all.

    On behalf of Logic users everywhere, thank you Martin for going the extra mile. I think this software is a game changer and I will be doing a tutorial on using it with Logic Pro 9 in my upcoming book, "Going Pro With Logic Pro 9."

    how easy is it to set up?

    Start server just like you do now, insert the plugin - then choose "IAC midi", "MidiOverLAN" or whatever midi you intend to use inside VE Pro as input port, and create an external midi track in Logic. Very simple.

    Days.

    Not at the moment.

    Thanx so much, This is still a great leap forward for mac users, as we can say goodbye to audio cards on slaves and having to run insane amounts of the app. Your App truly is a milestone...Thanx!

    I wnated to Thank you aswell Martin! As I already stated: It's not only the way you react to so many individual wishes but as well the amazing SPEED whith which you managed to do that! I'm really impressed. (now I'm again rethinking on staying with my loved logic instead of having to get Cubase and start all the setup from scratch)

    Thanks Martin. This is also a help to those who face the eight instance barrier. 

    Will my old school Unitor 8 hardware show up as hardware in's in the VSL server within Logic? I'm not above a MIDI patch cord loop.  

    By the way, since Snow Leopard, VE PRO 3 has been rock solid for me.

    Amen to that! Not just a help to logic users, but DP users also. [Any daw that uses AU for plugin vis].

    I assume you've beaten all your beta testers who use Logic but didn't mention that this is a sine qua non?
