I bought a Mac Pro 3.0Ghz machine so I could better work with libraries such as Vienna Instruments. I struggled for a long time with a dual processor G-4 Power Mac and have been anxiously awaiting this new setup so I can work on orchestral scores. I have Special Edition which could never run well on the previous Mac along with East/West, Garritan, and other libraries. (Too many notes, as the saying goes). :-)
In addition to having read all the installation instructions and having watched all the videos, I downloaded the latest install for MacIntel machines from the Vienna User Area. I also have done an installation before for the G4, and I know how to use the Directory Manager. All of my authorization is in order through Syncrosoft, etc. The player comes up, but no matter how much I try, I cannot get any presets to appear.
I have everything but the sounds.
No presets, no instruments, no library, even though it's right there on the external drive, and the Directory Manager "points to it."
I'm sure VSL folks must be busy, because after 4 support requests, all I've received is a note back telling me to use the Directory Manager. This is old news. I need some real trouble-shooting help because at this point, I should be making music.
Can anyone, within or outside of the Vienna organization, help me get my VSL SE to work?
