  • !!! Super Bonus for Symphonic Cube users !!!!

I'm very happy to announce our new bonus library for our Symphonic Cube users. Everybody who has registered all 10 Symphonic Cube standard collections, can download now our SOPRANO-CHOIR.

You find the files in our
    USER AREA/VIENNA INSTRUMENTS/BONUS LIBRARIES
    http://www.vsl.co.at/en-us/68/375/274.vsl

You will get two vocal articulations, "AA" and "UU",
with staccato, sustain, fp, sfz, crescendo, diminuendo, articulations, and of course also including our famous performance-legati.
As far as I know this is the first choir which offers true legato interval sample technology.

If you have a multi-computer setup, you have to run the choir on the computer where your Brass II license is installed.

Christian Kardeis supported us with afirst demo you can download here:
    http://vsl.co.at/upload/forum/VSL-Sopranos_In_excelsis.mp3

The choir will be available for download till end of November.

  • Wow!! Thanks!

Can you tell us anymore about what the complete package will eventually include?

    Word builiding?

    Best,
    Jay

  • Nice bonus! [:D] Thanks herb!

  • To think I was so close to ordering East West (they must of known VSL was soon releasing this). Herb, you have a leak within the company [[;)]]

Seriously - cannot wait for this one. I have some work to do for the Mormon Taberacle choir here and this will help immensely mocking these compositions up.

  • You made my weekend !!! [[;)]]

    1000 Thanks !

  • This has come just at the wrong time. I never update anything (I haven't even updated the VI library files) whilst in the middle of a project. However, I might have to break the golden rule on this one. I've been using EWSQ, and the sound combined with the Wordbuilder has been very handy, if rather clunky to use. However, the legato is not good and I was shying away from using an exposed soprano lyrical line because it didn't sound good. However, I may well find that I can't resist trying it with the VSL Choir. I'll keep you posted.

  • Some nice sounds here. I've just spent the last half hour noodling (and I never do that) through Altiverb and it was a pleasure. Thanks Herb, and all the others who helped preparing this surprise.

  • Downloading as I write.....

Many thanks to Herb and the VSL team. You folks always amaze me with your quality and also your generosity and support for us, the users.

  • Woooooooow !!

Not only that I finally got a job ! (well - which nowadays is almost like winning the lottery - especially here in Germany) - and sooner or later will be able to update to SC [[;)]]
the fact that VSL is heading right towards a choir library made my next 5 years !

    Thanks soooooo much Herb.

  • Is there any chance that the choir will eventually be released separately for we mere mortals who can't afford all 10 Symphonic Cube standard collections?

  • Matrix corrupt ? I only see the first keyswitch ... the others are empty. Have I to remove the soprano choir from the library manager and add it again ? The installation was fine ...

Judging by what I've played with so far they'd be mad not to release it. Obviously it is currently a smallish product compared with any of the orchestral instruments, but I can see that with more articulations (wordbuilding), different speeds of legato, vibrato/non vib and all the rest it could be a killer product. I know that this probably makes it worse for you as you haven't got it, but the fact that we have what we have already means that VSL is serious about the choir "collection".
