Gustavo, there surely are sustains, even in variations, you have to look under "single notes" (which is the containing gig-file or folder). For violins e.g. these are: Short and normal staccato, détaché with 0.3 and 0.5 sec., each in two variations (downstroke and upstroke), sustained, espressivo with strong vibrato, and tremolo. That means short notes and detaches are coming in two variations, up and downbow, plus there are also normal sustains as well as espressivo sustains. In addition tremolos. From what I saw it's the same for the rest of the strings without the espressivo patch. VSL choices for recording may sometimes be worth a discussion, but they never miss essentials like sustains yet...
