Yesterday loading a single empty instance of the VI plugin in Logic 7.2.3 took 6 minutes and 25 seconds. This was after repairing permissions and checking the disk with Apple's Disk Utility (which found "nothing to repair"). (This disk had its directory rebuilt with DiskWarrior 7 days ago.)
Today, after again rebuilding the directory with DiskWarrior, repairing permissions (Since the advent of OS 10.4.9 Disk Utility always finds exactly the same permissions to repair after every restart) and running Apple's Disk Utility (which, as it did yesterday, found "nothing to repair") loading a single empty instance of the VI plugin took 1 minute and 10 seconds. The shorter loading time was characteristic of performance under OS 10.4.8 - - which did not require frequent rebuilding of the disk directory to achieve such loading times.
Anyone else notice this?
