Nope. I'm now getting lots of drop-outs with 5 instances using ASIO drivers. Seems like I should be getting much better performance than this. Any ideas?
Best,

Hi Jay
Your soundcard should have a special ASIO-driver with its own software "frame". There you can set different things like the number of speakers etc. One parameter is "samples/buffer" or something like that. It is possible to set different values: 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048...
The lower the value the lower the latency - the higher the CPU's stress.
So it is a conflict to keep on one hand the samples/buffer low and on the other hand the CPU stress low too. I guess the samples/buffer is around 256 at the moment. Increase it to 512 or 1024. The latency is ca. 23 ms with 1024 samples/buffer. It is only just OK to work with this configuration (1024). Try it out.
BTW Which soundcard do you have?
I wish you success!
