Exactly, but the procedure is the same in your scenario:
Venue Preset 1: Venue A: Role 1 "violin right", Role 2 "violin left"
Venue Preset 2: Venue B: Role 1 "violin right", Role 2 "violin left" (of course, their settings can differ from the Roles used in Preset 1!)

Thanks again. I'll give it a try tonight. With my previous attempts it was always the case that when I assigned the preset to venue B and automatically loaded venue A.

That's a version issue - text is about legacy MIRacle that came with Vienna MIR Pro, screenshot is from the completely new, re-programmend version that comes with MIR 3D.
