So. I have a cMP, 2x6 core 3.33g, with 128 GB of RAM/ Everything is on an SSD (4TB of 860 qvo + dedicated 512 SSD fpr boot).
I am running VEP7 on 10.11.6
My first issue was my session not loading after seeing a converting dialouge box. I have to do a full restart, since it won't let me force quit my session and re-open VEP. Todays issue is a major CPU overload. Im talking 1,800% CPU usage for VEP in Activity Monitor, and completely garbled audio (with a 512 buffer setting in Cubase 8.5) with high 80s fluctuating up to high 90s CPU usage in VEPs bottom right indicator. I am using Kontakt 6, and Spitfires BBC plug-in. Nothing else. Most of my libraries are spitfire, but they all use Kontakt 6. It was reccomended that I take out the BBC plug and see if that fixes my issue. I'm currently only sitting at 50GB worth of samples (after taking away ~10 from BBCs instances) and my CPU useage is stuck in the high 90s. I try to add another Kontakt plug-in. And now it crashes without fail, every single time. I have no clue what the hell is going on, why its being such a hog, and why its ramping up this usage and crashing all the time. Everyhitng is up to date. I checked the compatibility and 7 should be running no problem on my version of OSX. I have my thread count set to 24 for a single instance since I just use one. My RAM is running at 1333M. I have eveeryhitng hard wired with a static IP. This is probably the 15th time Ive had to rebuild a template since everything has been so buggy. I am ready to toss this shit out of the window. If someone can please give some guidance on how to trouble shoot (I can't even add another plug in!) that would be greatful. I hope I've given all needed info.
