    Wondering, where do I find that MIR Synchron download. Is it even available as of yet?

    Hi Lars, Jack, 

    I confirm that MIR RoomPack 6 - Synchron Stage Vienna will be a separate product, so it will also come with its own Activation Code.
    RoomPack 6 is not available as of yet - we're working hard on it - and we will let you know in this thread once you can get it, so that you can also take advantage of the promotional offer.

    By the way, Mac users cannot write to NTFS formatted drives like our Vienna Hard Drive by default (ask Apple why that is), but if you install a NTFS plugin on your Mac you will be able to do so. ;-)

    I don't complain. I just don't like the way marketing is working these days. Intro offers are ok and I appreciate the free room pack and the reduced price point. I find it hard to believe that the Taiko is exclusive during the intro offer ... why would you record a whole instrument to make it only available for a months in bundle with something else? Just doesn't seem logical to me and comes off as an attempt to keep adding reasons, why YOU REALLY NEED TO BUY THIS NOW!!!! :-) If you know anything about marketing, that is part of how it works, to make people feel an urgency to purchase using psychology. I know it is part of our current culture, unfortunately! So, all I wanted to say was, I liked it that VSL held back with this, did their introductory offer with every new product but didn't join the club of writing 10 newsletters in a row on one topic and all of that turbo marketing crap. I see in this announcement a step in that direrection. There was an intro deal and then they created a second announcement to increase the talk about it and make it even more interesting and the exclusive Taiko seems strange to me - I don't really think you will never see it in any other form for sale (or as another goodie) ... It is ok and it probably works quite well and I whish all the best to VSL! But I hope they will stay as they mostly were up to know regarding both sampling and sales philosophy ... not joining all those hypes and crazyiness. All that seems lile a lot of noise to me that does not suite a company dealing with music. As I said: This is my opinion on modern marketing! if you like it, that is ok with me! But please don't put words into my mouth. I did never say I don't like a gift and if you just read what I wrote, wou will know that perfectly well.

    As Paul writes the Taiko is just a sneak preview of the Taiko-Family which will surely include the Big Taiko too , not just Single hits but rolls and effects and and and ... surprise ... ;) I like this way of marketing from VSL because it shows how excited they are when they are producing their products. I do not think that it was planned from the beginning of the Sale. I think the idea came when they recorded the Big Taiko and they were flashed by this bombastic sound and decided to share this experience with some people. This was happening quite a few times. I heard they gave not only free-samples for the Jazzdrums, but also for the Appassionatas, before the final result came out. Think of the early bird offer for Dimension Strings 1. I paid only 600 Bugs for the whole product. When you see the price for DS1 today, it can only be described as a crazy, but very nice decision of this Company who just wanted to share their excitement with interested users. This is not the common way of marketing. This is unique! There is only one other company which comes to my mind who is so close to their customers: Synthesizer-producer U-he. That's why I decided to take my Synth-Sortiment from U-he and not from Native Instruments or Others out there. The Passion-Factor is the key to the greatest sounding results. VSL have most passion. That's why I collect only VSL and have no other "orchestral" product from a competitor. In other words: This way of marketing works for me. Best Lars

    Regarding to the Roompack Synchron Stage ... I knew that VSL would do something good to give the users a hand who have decided to dive into both worlds (dry samples and Synchron) But I thougt that they would put the Synchron MIR into Roompack 2 and increase the final price of this Pack a little after an intro-period. But the decision they made is even better!

    I really don't  see the point for this lecturing to VSL. There's nothing bad in what they're doing. As LAJ said, it's a matter of their enthusiasm to share their achievements with their customers. 
    The taiko is probably just a preview from the Synchron Percussion II; who purchase right now the product has this chance to use synchron taikos before all other users.
    Bad marketing is totally another thing; bad marketing is to release and advertise new libraries every month, to release incomplete libraries, bugged or bad scripted libraries. Bad marketing is making demo and video with over produced sounds that the user will probably never capable of duplicate. Just to say a couple of examples of "bad marketing".

    RoomPack 6 - Synchron Stage Vienna is available as per today, and we've extended the introductory period until June 30, 2017, as so many people were asking for an extension.

    This means that you can:
    1) Still take advantage of the introductory offer for Synchron Percussion I and its sub-sets in June,
    2) Having or getting Synchron Percussion I (the complete library) qualifies you to get RoomPack 6 free of charge, only in June 2017,
    3) If you’re not yet a user of Vienna MIR Pro or MIR Pro 24, get Synchron Percussion I by June 30, 2017 - or have it registered already - and you can jump into Vienna MIR Pro 24 for just €207!

    I hope you all can relate to our enthusiasm for these fantastic new products!

    The Giant Taiko Drum is available for download in your personal user area MyVSL as 'SY BONUS Giant Taiko' (marked orange) - make sure to select 'Library Downloads'.

    Note that users of Synchron Percussion I Standard Library will receive the Giant Taiko Drum Standard Library for free.
    Users of Synchron Percussion I Full Library will receive the Giant Taiko Drum Full Library for free.

    Yes, I'm very exicted to try this out.  I have Synchron Percussion but I don't see the Roompack in my downloads.  Can you tell me how I can get this so that I may quell my itching enthusiam. 😊

     

    Also, is it possible to get the wav (or aif) file of Starwars demo for Roompack 6?

    Just do it as I mentioned 2 lines above ...

    Put the MIR-Synchron-Product into the Basket and it will show a price of 0 €! (for people who bought the Synchron Percussions 1 Bundle)
