Hi,
I really like the way VSL instruments sound in the Mystic Spaces demos. Especially the demo by Guy Bacos, titled The Floating Coral Leaf VSL RoomPack 3 (Mystic Spaces). I might be buying them during the May special.
I know I can demo this pack, but if there are any users of the Mystic Spaces RoomPack, I would like to hear your opinions about it, and what type of musical applications do you use it in ? i.e. I would think it would be good for achieving very ambient, lush, and yet transparent sounding acoustics. good for big, lush string / woodwind sections, and for blending slow evolving orchestral combinations to create evolving sonic textures, ethereal type orchestral soundscapes, maybe for a nature documentary, space related science program, ...etc.
I'm also curious if one can decrease the release time of the hall, to transform it to a more traditional scoring hall, med-release time, so it can be transformed to sound more like medium sized hall, with less reflections/shorter time reflections.
It would be interesting, and helpful to hear some feedback about this, and your opinions regarding the Mystic Spaces RoomPack.
Thanks,
