I read parts of the manual for combining MIRacle with MIR Pro. This is some complicated stuff. I think the approach on page 54 is what I need, and I'll attempt!

What are the technical considerations I need to know when using an algo reverb with MIR PRO? What paraameters do I need to tweak on the algo reverb (and on MIR PRO) to effectively increase the reverb tail of a MIR PRO venue?
I want to avoid introducing uneeded resonance by going with this approach.
Adding reverb to reverb is a purely aesthetic decision, so it's mostly a question of taste and style-dependent considerations. There are no "hard facts", so to speak.
In general, I would try to avoid the use of Early Reflections from the algorithmic reverb: IRs are much better and more authentic in this. I would try to get those nice (and sometimes quite kitschy 😉 ...) modulations from the algo reverb's tail. The reverb tails from IR won't modulate.
There are several approaches when mixing IRs and synthetic reverb. The tutorial section of MIR Pro's manual covers a few of them.
HTH,
