Hello!
I am using the VSL Special Edition plus with Sibelius 7.5 with great success. It's awesome. I now want to bring my Sibelius score into Logic for some tweaking. No problem, I just export and import a midi file into logic. The playback does not translate however. Logic, even with all the keyswitches that are imported with the midi file does not play back the part in the same way as Sibelius does. One of the problems is the 'Y axis' selection I think. In my VIPro the 'Y axis' defaults to using CC1 and this works with Sibelius of course but this seems to throw logic off when playing back the midifile with all this CC1 data. I would like to change the 'Y axis' selection in the Sibelius VSL Special Edition Plus soundset to use keyswitches also (C0, C#0 and D0) No problem in changing the 'Y axis' on the VIPro, but when I go and edit the soundset in the Sibelius Soundset editor and save it, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the play back by Sibelius. I'm positive I'm editing the correct soundset - users/library/appsupport/avid/sibelius/sounds. One thing that does puzzle me however is that there are many more soundsets available from within Sibelius than I can find or even see in that 'sounds' folder. There are Roland soundsets for example, but I cannot locate them on my drive anywhere. Am I editing the correct soundset? Is there a better way to translate a score into logic from sibelius. I know this is not a sibelius or logic forum but it seems that if I could successfully edit the VSL soundset and get Sibelius to play back using KSwitch triggers for the 'Y axis' then Logic would also play it back in the same way.
Thank you!
Andy
