It's the same little plus sign with Hauptwerk, yes, and it looks exactly the same as in your 2nd picture.  But I'm at a loss as to what to do in Hauptwerk.  The manual says that multiple audio output is only possible through audio hardware... HW finds my Virtual Audio Cables and I can probably use those rather than the VST, but how would I get that audio into MIR?

For a VSTi it shouldn't make any difference whether it sends audio to a "real" or to a "virtual" output. In Hauptwerk, just assign whatever you want to an individual output you added in VE Pro, and you should be done. No need for another "virtual audio cable".

Your solution actually works beautifully, and the improved spatial distribution of the organ in MIR certainly doubled the feeling of realism! Made my day!  Thanks for your help and for the wonderful technology this is.  (now, will try the Konzerthaus organ, very soon too ;-) )

BTW: Using customized registrations for Vienna Konzerthaus Organ works very intuitively with VE Pro. Just use an individual channel for each rank. ;-)

PS: When using Vienna Konzerthaus Organ with MIR Pro, make sure to switch off the release samples (which contain the natural reverb of the Great Hall of Vienna Konzerthaus) - otherwise you would double the reverb tails. 8-)

Now back on topic: Konzerthaus Organ:  If I set up my Organ Manual I in Finale to send Midi Channel 1, I would then load all my necessary Manual I ranks/stops in VE (let's assume 8 ranks in this example), one channel each, all those 8 channels set to receive Midi on ch.1 -  I can manage registration by muting the required channels at any time. So far, so good.  

Now, I would need to manage this muting/unmuting from Finale, by sending Midi commands, to control the automation, by creating 16 expressions (as they are called in Finale) programmet to mute and unmute the 8 ranks.  Do it once and save the library.  Tedious, but managable... or is there a simpler way?

This could be done easier. You don't have to mute/unmute channels.
I assume that you are using three staves for the Organ. Every staff should play on its own channel so that you can trigger three different stops at the same time. To change between different stops on one staff simply insert a MIDI command like a keyswitch or MIDI CC. This can easily be achieved with help of the Finale Keyswitch dump file we created for our customers.

Think you misunderstood me... I'm not talking about changing from one stop to another using key-swiches... I need to change complete sets of stops, like switching from Princpial 8,4,2 to Flute Harmonique solo on manual I, and from Oboe to Gambe and Voix Cel. on manual III plus uncoupling I/Ped and III/Ped... all at once (at least very quickly) - Modern and refurbished organs of any size have the capability to store up to a 1000 completely independent registrations that can be recalled at any given time.  As do Hauptwerk ;-)

Additionally to the single stops, the Konzerthaus Organ also offers predefined registrations. In order to create your own registrations, it is possible to layer up to four stops in one matrix cell. With the VI Pro player you can layer up to 16 stops in one cell. Our matrices offer 12x12 cells and one VI preset can hold up to 12 matrices (VI Pro presets can hold up to 127 matrices). So with VI you can save up to 1728 registrations in one preset with up to four stops each and with VI Pro you can hold up to 18288 registrations with up to 16 stops each.

To change between the registrations you can do as described in my previous post.
