Keyswitch control via Logic 9

Hi, this may be a silly question, but I was wondering if I could change the articulation in a matrix in VIP2 by inserting a NOTE, say D1 or E1, which correspond to the articulation change I want and then insert another NOTE D#1 or whatever which corresponds to change to another articulation. I've tried it using a track in Logic 9 but nothing happened. I inserted the NOTE at the beginning of the sequence. Any help with this?

Yes, you have to put them in the correct octave. You are putting them an octave too high, due to the fact that Logic thinks Middle C is C3, rather than C4.

If you have not already done so:

Perhaps between projects you can go into display preferences and make Middle C C4 (Roland).

Unless of course you prefer (Yamaha) C3.
