  • Keyswitch control via Logic 9

Hi, this may be a silly question, but I was wondering if I could change the articulation in a matrix in VIP2 by inserting a NOTE, say D1 or E1, which correspond to the articulation change I want and then insert another NOTE D#1 or whatever which corresponds to change to another articulation. I've tried it using a track in Logic 9 but nothing happened. I inserted the NOTE at the beginning of the sequence. Any help with this?

  • Yes, you have to put them in the correct octave. You are putting them an octave too high, due to the fact that Logic thinks Middle C is C3, rather than C4.

  • Thanks very very much!! Works like a dream. Ciao for now, David

  • Thanks! It works now. Ciao for now, David

  • If you have not already done so:

Perhaps between projects you can go into display preferences and make Middle C C4 (Roland).

Unless of course you prefer (Yamaha) C3.
