Thanks for reply Christian I do realize there needs to be a loop back so the clock/latency can be compensated for, as I mentioned in my first post.
But what if the necessary timestamps are returned down the LAN to achieve this, minus the main part of the audio data. And then send the audio stream to the local soundcard of the client.
Or another perhaps easier solution would be let the audio return down the lan as normal host/slave and the appropriate sync maintained, but to also send a copy of the audio stream to the local soundcard of the slave client. We could then just mute or turn down the VST/lan return in the master server and use the soundcard audio of the client.
I do prefer the first option if it were possible though. Cheers Ben
