  • Great! This is really the right way... I didn't find out if there were any restrictions with this bundle. Too bad I already got Opus 1 [;)] (for less, hehe).

    Nice.

PS: Evan, you're still a student? What ressort?

  • Always a student. Are you kidding? Is anyone ever done learning? Could anyone be that naive?

    LOL.

But seriously. No I am not currently registered at any college and am not a student. But I am a teacher, so student discounts interest me and my students.

  • [[;)]] i could take advantage if you decide to make any of the horizon products have a student discount [:D]

mmm... chamber strings... and french oboe

was considered a student when i bought the 1st ed and then pro ed.. had to get a loan out [:D]

  • I am *SO* registering for that basket-weaving class at NYU!!!

    hee hee hee

    Wow, great!
Is there any possibility to get a discount going from Opus1 to First (student) edition?

    Just a quick bump.

  • The discounts applys to the Complete Orchestral Package only, and for students only, not for educational institutions or teachers.

  • Hm... Can I sell then my Opus1 to fund the money for buying First student edition?

  • Herb, could you please tell us if this is actually including the Horizon or if there is a special discount for Opus users? It may very well change the balance between getting VSL or other samples for budget reasons... as a student I am, those are awesome news!

    Thks,

    Regards,

    Iván

  • Just a personal observation -

Few college students will be able to afford even $1800 on the library (some certainly will - I know students with $10k violas, but it's rare). A much more reasonable alternative for most would be a 50% discount on Opus 1. I hope you'll consider offering that option soon.

  • It's "qualified" students, not only college students... if not correct me... of course college students are not paying this huge amount... they probably don't buy any sample library... I was thinking more of superior schools of music students who already do some composition, and my question was oriented to Horizon products too, which includes of course Opus [;)]

    So, any clue on this?

    Regards,

    Iván

  • Hello Iván,

this 50% discount doesn't include the Horizon Series, it applies to the First Edition Complete Orchestral Package exclusively.

  • So, can I sell my Opus1 when I buy student first edition?

  • I only wish I could have gotten the discount when I bought the library. Boo-Hoo [:(]. I am poor.

  • I'm sorry, there are no additions to my previous announcement. The offer is valid for the Complete Orchestral Package of the FIRST EDITION only.

  • Is that supposed to be sarcasm Evan? I can never tell with you.

  • i wonder how do you make the difference between a student and a normal customer ?

  • They check your student ID or you have to give other proof of enrollment like a registration form.
