Disappearing Appassionata Strings...

Last night I tried to load some AS patches and matricies and the VI could not find any of the violins.

Then, it could not find anything from AS at all.

Then, it could not find anything that is installed on the same drive as AS and could not load any patches from the other volumes.

I had to delete those volumes and copy them one by one via the scantool.

This all weird because I have not changed anything on my computer for weeks, so this happend all of a sudden out of no where.

I got it all working again but what a hassle.

Hello David,

that is strange. But if it happens again, you can simply drag and drop the content folders in the Directory Manager. Hope it won´t happen again, though [;)]

just to have it mentioned: don't allow a drive to sleep (energy saving settings, especially FW-drives love to do so) - this might look to the system like a removed drive or volume.

could be a *real* hardware problem too though ...
