    Hey there,

    I'm very new to the incredible VIs - just got my copy of the Appassionata Strings some days ago - and there's a thing/bug which totally drives me crazy.

    Why isn't it possible to start/stop my sequencer (Cubase SX3) with the regular host controls (space key/0 key) when the VI has the focus? Am I too dumb? Is there any workaround?

    Unfortunately....this is the way VI works.
    It's really a separate APP which works via a plugin, so when the VI window is in front, the APP is in front and obviously Cubase/Logic/etc is in the background, so key commands won't work.

    It takes one more click to bring your sequencer back "in front".

    Sad, but true.

    It's like Musos wrote. What you take as an "ordinary" plugin is actually an application of its own. This has several technical reasons. The benefit from this seemingly "strange" solution is the extremely high performance of our Vienna Inbstruments.

    You could try to remote-control Cubase either via dedicated MIDI-transport-commands (e.g. from a hardware-controller) or a set of keys on you master-keyboard.
