    Sorry for maybe stupid question.

  • Hi Anton, your question is not stupid but it isn't clear - what do you want to know about the Appassionata staccatos?

    Good point, Anton...

    25 Violins appassionata/01 SHORT + LONG NOTES/01 VI-20_staccato

    Central Info Screen:
    RAM: 20 MB
    Single notes: Staccato
    4 Alternations
    AB switch: tight/loose[b]

    [[;)]]
    R

P.S.: ...maybe could be: played more or less "together/in time"... (played... the attack of each note... by the choirs/sections players)

  • It might be tuning.

I'm pretty sure it's the time of day the samples were recorded.

Tight is 8:30 am; Loose is 22:30 pm, after some moderate drinking.

  • Does the Silent Stage have a Beergarden?

  • Gentlemen,

    hereĀ“s the solution:

"Tight" means that 20 violin players played the staccato exactly on the beat.
"Loose" means that (as in real life) 20 players are doing their best to play on the beat [:)]

    Best, Paul

Of course, but in Vienna that`s called "Heurigen". [H]

..and 'failing' at it, so to speak, with great success!! [:P]

Nice A/B articulation! Very thoughtful of VSL to have it included.

  • Many thanks.
