VI Extended Question

I'm gradually slotting in Exended Licenses and have a question:

The discount calculator doesn't reflect my Cube purchases particulaly where some extended licenses have already been registered. For example, it's still showing almost $1200 as my price for Orch Strings 1 and 2 when these have already been secured.

While the calculator reflects Pro Edition and Horizon purchases, it doesn't show Cube Standard purchases, which makes it impossible to get an accurate number on the entitled VIP discounts.

So here's what I've discovered:

1. The registered products are already listed and marked accordingly.

2. I select the Standard Cube volumes, even though I own them, and I recalculate the total.

3. I DESELECT the Standard Cube volumes and find the Extended Cube boxes finally enabled. I select the desired Extended Cube boxes and recalculate once again.

It's kind of backwards, but it seems to get the results I need-- for example, Brass I/II volumes now total $85 for the Extended Licences instead of $1490 for both. Keep in mind I own SE and PE plus Epic Horizon, and Cube Standard (among other things)

Is this anywhere close to being accurate?

let me say sorry here for having the updated calculator still not ready - there are some new discounts to cover as well as already registered vienna instruments libraries.

the *trick* you mention works quite well and shows the right figure, just let me add, that the registration of your first edition doesn't count, since it is already *used up* during your upgrade to the pro edition.

Interesting about the "used up" theory. This would imply that I would have had to start completely over from scratch with the Cube which wasn't entirely the case, but the VIP entitlements still apply. I now understand what you *mean*, but in essence the previous purchases still do have an impact even as I attempt to complete my extended licenses at this time. $85 for both Brass I/II is quite sweet compared to the $715 for Chamber Strings!

I am grateful to be able to upgrade at my own pace. This past year has been somewhat of a nightmare with getting the proper hard drive combinations and to reorganize the entire library. Also, keeping up with additional libraries such as Appassionata (which has just been installed a moment ago) has diverted funds from Extended Licences as well.

I think I'll pass on Bösendorfer and the Konzerthaus Organ for now in an effort to complete the Cube Extendeds plus add a MacPro sooner rather than later.

Of course, once I finally get totally up to speed I fully expect the 64-bit version to appear running 24/96!!!

Oh, and did I mention MIR for MacPro? Hmm. Something tells me I have plenty of time.

JWL, just to reword it ... when you upgraded from the first to the pro you had to pay the so-called VIP price only instead of the full price of the pro edition. the next possible upgrade-step is now from the pro edition (and several horizon products) to vienna instruments symphonic cube and you receive discounts for an already registered *kind* of instrument-group.

now there are also users who didn't upgrade from first edition to the pro, now receiving less, but some discount too - of course such a discount (for a first edition product) cannot add up to a - let me call it - pro edition upgrader, because the difference in discounts has already been given earlier ...
