  • Dietz - MIR update?

    Hi there Dietz,

Any update on the progress of MIR? If so, perhaps some more details of how it will actually fit into a main DAW and multiple slaves (running VI).

    Many thanks.

  • Thanks for your interest, Rob. Sorry for the delayed reply, I've been pretty busy these days.

Concept-wise, things haven't changed a lot. Think of the MIR as a very specialized mixing-console: It will have to reside on a dedicated PC, with 60+ stereo-streams deriving from our VIs, coming in via a newly developed connection-method, allowing for a thight integration of a multitude of DAW-masters, VI-slaves and the MIR itself.

During the last few months, this connection-method was the main focus of our development- and testing-team.

    HTH!

Thanks Dietz for the update. This is certainly very promising technology.
