  • creating mod wheel controlled velocity splits with VSL winds

    Hi there, first time poster,

I want to create velocity splits with the VSL solo brass and winds that can be controlled by the mod wheel instead of just key-velocity. I find it difficult to create a realistic sounding solo line without the use of the mod wheel to create a continuous (albeit subtle) crescendo/decrescendo.

As an example I'll use the solo trombone "TP_LV_nA_3s" file. All the different volume levels are contained in this file. How can I separate them so I can make a new instrument that cross fades between volume levels? Or is there another ay to do this?

I am disappointed that the set did not come with this option. I also use Dan Dean solo brass/winds and they DO include the option but the VSL sounds are much better! I wish I could take the best of all of them and combine them [:)]

    Thanks,
    Mike
