  • Two new "New years" demos

Guy Bacos created two very different and both excellent demos in the last days:

    Take Five by Paul Desmond
featuring our Alto Saxophone (all other instruments are also exclusively VSL)
    http://www.vsl.co.at/Player2.aspx?Lang=13&DemoId=4981

    and a full orchestra demo
The Flying Dutchman Overture by Richard Wagner
    http://www.vsl.co.at/Player2.aspx?Lang=13&DemoId=4982

    thanks a lot Guy!
    Herb

    Guy,
Another big work. I know what you have done and I don't ask for the hours of the production of Richard Wagner... thanks for both of this fantastic piececs.

Did you use the new "Tonic, New York"-Club-IR of Altiverb for "Take five"?

    Beat Kaufmann
    _______________________________________________________________________

I worked as well these days but it is not a piece which is suitable as a demo for VSL - it is
a Christmas Song accompaniment called Weihnachtsfriede .
Even if it is "only" a playback you can listen to it without the melody...

    - Tips & Tricks while using Samples of VSL.. see at: https://www.beat-kaufmann.com/vitutorials/ - Tutorial "Mixing an Orchestra": https://www.beat-kaufmann.com/mixing-an-orchestra/
  • Very much appreciated Beat, thanks!

    Q. What do Beat and Guy have in common?

    A. They are both Swiss native (I assume Beat is...) [[;)]]

I can't remember which IR I used for take 5, I'll have to open it up and get back to you on that, but I didn't even know about the new Tonic, New York -Club IR, interesting.

  • You can download new IR's from altiverbs website all the time, they are excellent. Also there are freebies you can get that works with Altiverb from other sites.

    Miklos.

  • Thanks Mik

It might be interesting to know that "Take Five" was done with the Sax Standard lib only, so I imagine the possibilities are even greater with the Extended lib.

  • Super cool [H] - a quick glance at what the extended library offers shows that while the standard library is demonstrably highly functional (thanks Guy!) the extended edition has quite a lot more material! Fantastic...

    Miklos.

  • Guy... now you are showing your Sexy side [:O]ops:
Take Five demo sound like i am siting in a Jazz club in New-York cool !

and the Wagner sound like the Bayreuth stage wow !

    keep going Guy !
