  • Various Questions

    Dear all

Just finished installing the symphonic cube and would like an answer to the following questions if possible.

I have downloaded the fast performances tutorial for solo violin, it contains three files:

    VI-fast-performances mid.
    VI-Demos.fxp
    VI_Demos.aupreset

How do you use these files?

I expect that you load the midi file into a midi track in logic but do I load the fxp file or the aupreset file and how do you do that? The manual is not very clear on how you load fxp or aupreset files.

I have been browsing the download manual for solo violin and I am not sure in what context the following patches should be used:
    1. Vl_sus_Vib_fA_auto. Attack automation.
    2 Vl_perf-rep_bow-sl.

The VI software automatically switches articulations so how do you choose an up-bow or down-bow in strings for staccatos and detaches?

    I am using Logic 7.2.3 on a 2.5 Quad G5.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards

Any chance someone answering my post?

  • I'm sure that someone will answer you if you give them a chance. Do remember that the office isn't open at the weekend. I'd answer you myself, but I usually get shouted at for answering questions from Mac users. [8-)]

However, give me a few minutes and I'll do my best......

    You can't.

  • Hi,

drag the .fxp file to your Custom Data Folder (for e.g. in a folder which is named like the tutorial, .aupreset files can be ignored since .fxp files are now compatible with Mac). It represents a Matrix that you need to load into the corresponding Vienna Instrument after opening the .mid file.
But I just found out that the .mid file doesn´t work correctly. I can send you a new one. You´ll find my mail address in a PM.

    Best,
