  • Printer Anywhere (Beta) Free Download

PrinterAnywhere has just come out with a no-brainer of a product that I think will turn out to be quite useful, and best of all, it’s free! PrinterAnywhere lets you share your printer with someone else, or vice versa across the internet! Instead of sending someone an attachment of a contract, just print it directly to their printer. You won’t have to worry about people not being able to open files that you send them, all you’ve got to do is set the connection up (takes less than a minute) and print from whatever program you created it in, to their printer. Excellent. If you’ve got an internet connection, a printer that you can print to, and Windows XP, you really can print anywhere.

  • Sounds great, but some of us use Macs[;)]

  • efi, you would say *hello* or something similar when entering a room, wouldn't you? so do we expect here, especially if a topic is somehow unrelated to VSL or the forum itself.

internetprinting is an old story as well as an open protocol not limited to windows and i'm not sure now what your business model is.

users be aware you would install a server on your system opening another door to be observed.

  • Less dangerous, perhaps, but that idea is right up there with the J-con connector.

  • J-CON = Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who apparently came to the inventor in a vision and gave him the idea. And that connector is a good way to meet him.

  • I would have thought that this kind of posts would get deleted right away.

I mean, come on, it's the guy's first post, it's totally unrelated with VI, and it totally looks like an ad....

It's annoying and shouldn't be left here, I think.

  • Sometimes it's just funny to take spam like this serious, and treat it like an honest opinion. [:)] ...

  • my first thought also was to delete the post, but *efi* went manually through the registration process, provided a valid email address and offers his little app for free, so it seems he is an ethusiastic young programmer and the tool might be even usefull for some of us.

  • ... so I apologize for the "Spam"-part of my previous message.

  • well, of course it's some kind of *spam*, but at least not the usual one we had to block massively

  • I didn't realize it was his own program. Sorry for being rude.

It's just that PDFs and other standard formats were invented in large part for this reason.
