Musical thanks for the Concert Organ

Hello
I'd like to express my most sincere thank to VSL and all of those
people who worked for this lovely product.
Because of your location I've choosen "Wienerblut" (Joh. Strauss).
Perhaps I've taken a hand and a foot to much for this piece... [;)]
but it comes from the heart...
New Version (18th Novemver) with more "Wiener-Schmäh"
Wienerblut, Concert Organ, Konzerthaus (excerpt)

Technique:
4 VI instances
Manual Registrations, Pedal Registrations
I used neither a reverb effect nor an other effect > just THE Organ.

Is the spatial placement of the different parts a natural phenomenon due to the placement of the pipes in the hall or did you do some fancy panning? I'm afraid I know next to nothing about concert organs.

The pipes of the Concert Organ are behind the orchestra stage. There is an info with the organ:
...Helmer and Fellner, together with Ludwig Baumann, the joint architects of the Konzerthaus, had planned the front of the Great Hall as a semicircular apse with the organ hidden behind it...
So I believe that the pipes are spread over the whole with of the Great Hall which could give the "fancy panning" as you suppose.
Perhaps Dietz can tell us more about it.
Confirmation:
I played the 4 VIs as the are originaly programed and I didn't add any effect at all. So the panning is the natural phenomenon > Dietz?

Yes Waltz = Barrel Organ ... but

Sorry, Beat, es kam mir halt spontan ein "Wienerblut"-spielender Drehorgelspieler in den Sinn. Natürlich kam es, wie du schon sagtest, dadurch, dass der Walzer an sich mittlerweile ein Klischee für Drehorgelspieler geworden ist.

Ich bewundere immer deine tollen Soundfiles, die immer qualitativ hochwertig sind und in die du viel Zeit hineingesteckt haben musst.

Danke für dein Lob. Tut immer gut. Habe aber überhaupt kein Problem mit der Drehorgel. Die Verbindung besteht nun einfach im Hirn. Als Dank für Wiener musste was hin von Wien. Nun wissen wir's: Die Konzert-Orgel kann auch Walzer spielen. Trotzdem:

Why on earth are music styles sometimes stuck to instruments. Why do we not play a Rag with a concert Harp or a Swing, a Waltz with a church organ? Since I'm an owner of a symphonic orchestra I feel like doing such unusual things more and more:
- a Bach-Organ-Prelude with 12 Cellos...
- Rossini's Tell with percussion
- VSL with Children
- ...
And - No VSL-musician has ever complained about playing in a foreign music style. Great, isn't it?
So let's cross the borders with VSL

I've reworked my first version to a real Vienna Waltz.
The typical thing of the Vienna Waltz is its "pulled forward" 2nd beat. This gives the drive as we know it.

So have fun with this new Strauss. It contains more Wiener-Schmäh.
(Schmäh of Wien = typical Vienna humor?)
The barrel organ-feeling disappeared a bit too, I think (hope)

Glad to see we're thinking along the same lines Beat - one of the first pieces I tried on the Reiger Organ was Liberty Bell... though in tribute to Monty Python, not Sousa! [6]
