The strings sound good to me. How many articulations of the A S are there currently? Sometimes the strings and horns end fairly sharply - are there dims of these available?

The string writing sounds nice - I can't get my head around the horn parts as yet. It sounds almost like Bond or Herrmann meets Baroque to me. But that's original I would guess.

The reason for this is I wanted to make sure the violins didn't overlap with the cellos and vice versa in the exchange bit, so I was forced to decay the last chord very quickly, something I didn't like doing...Realizing this a bit late I wanted to stretch some reverb at the end of each phrases to make more natural endings, somehow never did [:'(]

Guy - really wonderful composition on the triple horn piece (only one I have listened to so far). Can you give a little more details of the kind of string patches you used on the following passages:

1. Lyrical melodic sections

2. the fast passage (vlns giving the 16th note runs)

edit: OK Guy - just listened to the second Tuba piece - again wonderful. Pretty much the same question on the string programming. The strings have a nice lush sound (plenty of verb) without being mushy. Can you tell us how you did this. Also - what are your 'go to' patches (perf-trills, etc?)

The first piece "Sur Les Toits de Paris", is the best piece of music I've ever heard inspired by the public conveniences of the French capital. Bar none.

Both pieces are amazing Guy.

And excellent mix by Miklos, especially on "The monastery on the mountain". String sound is some of the best I've heard yet, and interesting to hear the Wagner tuba hold it's own when soloing.

I was thinking this as well. Would it not be possible to make it sound more realistic by applying some volumechange to the end to make it less abrupt?

Excellent stuff Guy. I'm impressd by the dramatic swells and dims - do you use an expression pedal to help with those?

Aside from the personal interpretation I like to give using controllers, (no swell ped), it's just my own personalized matrix, one for violins, one for violas, and one for cellos. Anybody could do the same. It wouldn't be very smart of me to give away the fxp matrix to the whole world in a very competitive field where everybody wants a shot at scoring movies (including me [:'(] )...I'm sure it's understandable.
