Mine two. I've been looking forward to getting my hands on Dietz's organ for a long time, but unfortunately I have no time this week to give it a thorough workout. [:D]

I think that I've been very restrained on this forum. As someone who's idea of a good film is the Carry On series, I can't believe that I haven't even made a crack at people who use a program with the initials DP. [[:|]]

    lol.
Carry on Camping. Carry on Nurse. Carry on Taxi, or whatever it was called.
    Fond memories.
And Sid James, with his dodgy beauty contest, and trying not to get caughtt at it.

And then there was an Eric Sykes movie called 'The Plank.'

For me though, and i know the series wasn't movie based, Dad's Army still ranks up there at the top.
    When humour was charming.

And i'm surprised, Daryl, at your reticence with DP. So much material to work with!

Regards from a very snowy Moscow, where snow queens and princesses are frolicking freely and enthusiastically, teetering across a thin veneer of ice on precariously fragile high heels, designed to make any man feel younger, when admiring their antics!

    Quick demo ? [8-)]

  • Just installed mine......OH MY GOD!!!!!! WOW

  • Installed mine this morning. I feel that I need a much bigger chair, and several stacked keyboards to do this thing justice.

It's a stunning sound. Keyboard response is lovely. Must do something else today other than hash out Bach and Vidor...

    wow [[:|]] thanks again!

  • On a sidenote - yesterday evening we had the chance to "officially" launch the Vienna Konzerthaus Organ in the proper environment: The Vienna Konzerthaus. The smile on the face of the Konzerthaus' technical director, Heinz Repper, was even broader than mine when he heard the virtual representation of "his" organ for the first time. [:)]

  • Congratulations to you and all the team - wish I had been there, I have very fond memories of performing there, and have been looking forward to playing the organ in the comfort of my own studio! [:P]

  • Hi Dietz,

How exactly did the director hear the VSL organ played? Did you folks set up a sound system in the hall?

    Just curious.....

    Regards - Colin

PS - The organ sounds SUPERB!! Bravo....((((applause)))
PPS - How about a tutorial with suggestions on how to play this multisampled monster? [[:|]]

Thanks for the applause - the whole team deserves it.

As a partner of the "Wien Modern"-festival which takes place in Vienna right now (as every autumn), the VSL was invited to do a workshop / lounge / panel discussion in the small theater inside (actually below) the Konzerthaus. This is a pretty dry room for about 80 visitors, where we put in two PMC-studio monitors (which were lent to us by the Austrian distributor Avitech ... a big thanks to them, BTW).

  • Ah that explains why the organ sounds so good on my PMC TB2+As [;)]

  • Just put in an obsolete remark - took it out again [:O]ops:

    Cheers, d.

  • DG and Comrade Hermitage...

I am glad that some Englishmen like the Carry On series. After what Paul R said, I thought I was being an Ugly American expressing a fondness for that extremely Silly (note the capital S) movie series.

BTW, Paul R is offline now, so you can start the insults.

Anyway, either Carry On Spying or Carry On Screaming are my favorites, though I have not yet seen all of the others. Mel Brooks got a LOT of ideas from that series.

    Carry On Sampling...

  • I've only downloaded the concert organ today and just had to say to Dietz how FANTASTIC it sounds! This must be without doubt the best and only sampled organ, anywhere, anytime, that sounds like the real thing. Thanks Dietz! [[;)]]

  • [:)] ... Great to hear that you like it! Seems as the almost ridiculous amount of work we put into this pays off.

    Enjoy!
