  • VI-Error-Message: Cannot find...

I had to setup a new Useraccount in Win XP Home on one slave-PC because I had problems with its networkconnections.
I have setup the new Administrator-User and removed the old Useraccount. Now the Network works again without problems but VI does'nt find the samples anymore - neither the Brasslibraries nor the new installed Choir. Everytime I launch the VI-VST or the Standaloneplayer and try to open any preset I get an errormessage like: "cannot find/101 Choir Sopranwav/ Einzelnoten....".
I have already rescanned the Folders with the VI-directory-manager where all folders are listed as they should but the Errormessage remains the same.
Any Idea, how I can make VI find its samples again?

as a sidenote: network problems are usually not related to a problem with a user-account, possibly to permissions ... see your firewall settings too.

you don't say if the VI-data is on a local disk or a network share, if the latter please make sure the name of the share is correct and permissions are set to allow reading.

probly the easiest method would be to remove all directories from the DM and add them again, perferrably using drag&drop from an explorer-window as shown in the tutorial video

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Ok, I cleared all in DM and after adding all VI Folders again with D&D from the WinExpl. everything was fine.
(...sounds nice the Sopranochoir legatos by the way [:D] )
    Thanks
