  • VI standalone prefs kill RealPlayer audio tech support?

While changing the preferences in VI Standalone in Mac OS10.4 to use RME fireface it cut out the audio from RealPlayer1 and now I can't get the audio to work in the RealPlayer.

I know this is a very minor thing but it did happen while changing the VI prefs as described while the REalPlayer was running. Bad idea to change prefs while running an app? Re-installed the player and the audio will not work.

  • Hi Bruce,

I'm not a Mac man but maybe this will help ... Is it possible in Real Player to assign a dedicated audio output channel? Maybe it's simply not connected (could have been kicked out while you changed the VI prefs, though I don't know how that can happen) and you just have to re-assign it.

If it's not that, does the Mac have a standard audio output which you can change to the proper channel?

If it's not that either, that leaves (in my opinion) the RME patchbay. Is the Real Player channel connected to a physical output there?

    Regards,
    David
