    I have a solo violin part that plays perfectly, except for the last note. It is a long sustained note that fades to nothing - using CC's to achieve the fade. The note will not play past a certain poin, about half the length I need. All the other solo strings are fine. I have tried every version of sustain, and even slot crossfading from anther articulation. Same result.

    It will sustain if I don't use the CC to control the expression, and/or vel xFader.

    Any ideas?

    Did you try the basic articulations matrix ?

    No, I didn't. I will see if it works just to rule out the actual articulation. If it works than something is wrong with my matrix setup.

    However, using another matrix is not an option. I have customized my own for this song and redoing would be more than a hassle.

    Maybe if you publish your Matrix setup (or just send the .matrix file) plus a snippet of music where the problem occurs we can check it out?

    I'll do just that! I've been swamped, getting ready for a mixing session and had to abandon the tune. I'll get back to it tomorrow morning and send it to you.
